Pre-treatment — Laying a solid foundation for the lure, enhancing overall stability.

The process of making a lure is much like crafting a piece of art—it’s not just about appearance, but also about ensuring functionality and durability. After shaping the lure and building its internal structure, we move on to a crucial step: pre-treatment!

Why is pre-treatment so important?

Wood is a very unique material—its natural porous structure gives lures excellent buoyancy and dynamic response. These qualities make wooden lures perform exceptionally well in the water. However, these pores also present certain challenges.

If wood is exposed to water for extended periods, these pores can absorb moisture, causing the wood to swell, become heavier, and even lose buoyancy. This not only affects the lure's performance but also shortens its lifespan.

So, what's the solution?

We chose to use advanced resin infusion technology. This isn’t just a surface coating—it allows resin to penetrate deep into the wood’s micro-pores, reinforcing its internal structure. This effectively reduces water absorption, increases impact resistance, and ensures the lure performs reliably in the water over long periods.

After this treatment, the wood not only retains its original buoyancy but also becomes more durable and stable. This reinforced layer sets the stage perfectly for our next step: the resin casting process.

Closing Words

Although pre-treatment may seem like a simple step, it is crucial to the durability and stability of wooden lures. The application of this technique not only ensures the lure’s reliability during use but also allows anglers to enjoy the best fishing experience even after long-term use!
